This past weekend Atomic Tuna celebrated owner Wayne Goldman's birthday in the beautiful coastal town of Belfast, Maine.
The Waldo county city locates on the mouth of the Penobscot river estuary on the Belfast bay. Which is about two hours northeast of Portland, Maine's the state's largest city. Belfast offers a taste of Maine's unique rocky coastline and islands.
With inspections and the process of buying a yacht continues throughout the week, atomic tuna decides to go out for a quick sail to Islesboro island. The region peacefully sits on the Belfast bay, where the Penobscot River widens as it flows into the North Atlantic. The river, inlets, islands, and waterways make the Belfast region an excellent place to explore by boat – large or small.
For larger yachts, a trip to Boston, Mass is undoubtedly is the realm of possibilities. Only 209 miles down the northeast coastline, with the ability to stop in incredible New England port towns like York and Salem.
The trip can be a breeze during the right time of year. As we look to begin another week in Atomic Tuna's journey on the water, Wayne will close this boat sail making sure our clients are well on their way of having the boat of their dreams.
