BOAT INFORMATION

This beautiful Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 is turnkey!  She has been thoughtfully maintained by her original owners. The engine is clean, the bilge is dry and the teak and holly cabin sole is immaculate. ODYSSEY is beautiful inside and out. Recent survey available. Remarks by the surveyor “found in overall very good condition with few recommendations.”

With a hull speed of 7.5 knots, she is fast and nimble with a noticeably responsive helm. The Doyle stackpack mainsail and roller furling jib make sail handling easy for one or two. The jiffy reef system allows a single-handed sailor to safely manage that important task from the cockpit. Teak rails have been added to the cabin top to stow a folded dinghy. The baby forestay has a quick-release so that it can be moved aside to clear the foredeck for inflating a dinghy. The length of the topping lift was increased to help get an outboard onto the back pulpit.

ODYSSEY has two cabins and one head with a shower door. From the hatch entrance, the head is on the port side with the galley on the starboard side. Beautiful soft navy upholstery surrounds the teak salon table that has had a protective cover since new. The V-berth stateroom has a second sink, hanging lockers, and space to stand and change clothes. The aft cabin has a supersized bed with plenty of room under the cockpit.

ACCOMODATIONS

The V-berth stateroom has a comfortable two person bed, space to stand to change clothes, two hanging lockers, and a separate sink never used by the owners. The aft cabin bed is large enough for two people to sleep and still stow the lifejackets or cockpit cushions.  The galley has a dual basin stainless steel sink with a beautiful glass backsplash. The refrigerator is top loading FRIGOMATIC that runs on 12v and engine. The Force 10 propane 4 burner stove with oven is exceptionally clean.

HULL AND DECK

ODYSSEY has a fin keel and spade rudder, with iron ballast. Thru hulls have all been replaced with bronze ball valves. Steering gear is cable to quadrant. The stainless steel wheel has a leather cover. All lines lead aft making ODYSSEY an easy boat to single hand.  Two Harken winches on cabin top, two on sides. The mainsheet traveler is located forward of the dodger.

The navy dodger and bimini have a removable panel to shade the full cockpit when at dock. The owner created a custom teak rail cover forward of the hatch which allows stowage of an inflatable dinghy. The baby forestay has a quick-release so that it can be moved aside to clear the fore deck in order to inflate the dinghy on the bow. She has an electric LOFRANS windlass with 100 ft of 5/16 chain and a second anchor in the lazarette.

Bottom paint done March of 2019.

SAILS AND RIGGING

The Doyle mainsail and Stackpack cover were new in 2014. The roller furling jib is a 100% Doyle D4 Carbon Vectran purchased in 2007. Her sail inventory includes an FX Sails offwind Gennaker with sock purchased new in January 2006, used less than 6 times. The original Genoa 150% is lightly used, plus there is an additional 100% jib in good condition. Standing rigging assessed as good condition by marine surveyor.
