OVERVIEW
Beneteau's First series is designed to meet the performance needs of racing sailors, yet they are fully equipped for comfortable cruising. The world's top yacht designer, Bruce Farr, worked closely with Beneteau to create the sleek, fast lines of this series. The First 47.7 can meet the challenges of the wind and the sea. The beauty of her lines, and the excellent craftsmen at Beneteau have incorporated her interior into an exquisite and functional living space. All of these characteristics put the First series at the head of the fleet.
BIG MEDICINE is sleek, and this boat stands tall with a custom black hull and many upgrades. Bruce Farr designed the hull and powerful rig to provide excellent sailing capabilities, whether you're racing around the buoys or cruising offshore to remote destinations.
The First 47.7's cockpit design is extraordinary. The large wheel allows the helmsman to sit comfortably on the coaming with an unobstructed view forward. Features include teak slatted inlaid seats, mounted electronics on the steering pedestal and cockpit coaming, and a dodger. The traveler is located near the helm for optimal boom and mainsheet control. A folding swim platform retracts easily to reveal the sleek lines of the boat when racing.
The plush interior offers many fine details. The warm tones of cherry stained interior welcome you as you enter the salon with plenty of ventilation accented by the 6'4" headroom. Luxurious appointments such as a gimbaled salon table that can be titled when heeling, and companionway steps framed with aluminum, create a unique atmosphere of intimacy. All of these details are designed specifically to meet the high demands of the sophisticated Beneteau sailor.
The 3 cabin configuration has large berths, hanging closets, and functional lighting. The forward cabin suite has a private head, port settee and plenty of room for storage along the side of the hull and under the berth. The nav station faces forward with a large chart table and cubbyhole storage for charts. The galley is fully equipped with a large front-loading refrigerator, two burner stove and loads of counter space.
