BOAT INFORMATION

The DeFever 44 Offshore Cruiser is easily the most popular DeFever design ever produced. Her large, covered aft deck is a wonderful platform from which to lounge, dine and enjoy the scenery. The full width hardtop provides plenty of shade as well as a large area to stow the dinghy above. The flybridge features a centerline helm and plenty of room for guests to enjoy the view.

Accommodations below are spacious and nicely finished out, with a lot of room to entertain. The engine room is enormous with nearly stand-up head room, and more than enough space to service all sides of the engines, generator, and vessel systems

She has a full length keel providing directional stability and protection for the running gear.  Her flared bow helps to keep her deck dry and her deep forefoot contributes to her sea kindly motion.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The DeFever 44 has a great layout for living aboard and cruising.

The salon and galley area is entered from the large, panoramic after deck. An open U-shaped galley is to port and refrigerator and freezer units are to starboard encompassing the entire aft portion of the salon.  Forward is a L-shaped dinette on port with built-in seating. Across on the starboard are a couple of chairs with the inside helm just forward on starboard. Pocket doors both port and starboard access the side decks.
Down three steps, from the aft of the salon area, is the generous master stateroom with a walk around island queen berth, en suite head with separate shower stall, vanity,  and lots of beautiful teak built-in storage lockers. There is a combo washer/dryer in a closet as well.

The companionway, forward of the salon, leads to the guest stateroom that has upper  lower bunks plus ample storage. A forward head serves not only the forward stateroom but also as a day head. Aft, and to port from the quest stateroom is a hatch leading to a walk-in engine room with near standing head room. Main engines, the generator and operating equipment are very accessible.

Heading back aft, out of the salon, is the aft deck which is the perfect place for cocktails or dining. The hardtop also accommodates tender storage. Then, up four steps from the aft deck is the fly bridge with a second helm station with ample deck space and seating.
